PastaJesce from Apulia

Fresh Paccheri

Paccheri are a type of pasta from Campania, originating in the Neapolitan tradition, shaped like giant macaroni.

The term derives from the ancient Greek of the first founders of Parthènope and is still used in the Italian language as “pacca”, meaning a slap given with an open hand, without hostile intentions. From this comes the name of the type of pasta, much larger than the usual size, usually accompanied by tasty sauces.
